Japan Reishi Association (JRA) Product Safety Alert

Due to public concerns related to the nuclear incident in Japan, an increasing number of consumers have inquired about the safety of imported Japanese reishi supplements. In regards to product safety, the Japan Reishi Association has the following notification:

1. All existing JRA certified reishi products on the market were manufactured using crops harvested in 2009 to 2010. Current stocks are estimated to last for the rest of 2011 to 2012.

2. As a promise from all JRA members, future reishi crops will be planted in an absolute safe environment, using the most stringent standards to ensure all crops are safe from contamination.

3. JRA members are cooperatively investigating in conducting radiation tests on all future products. Rest assured that our members’ product are not affected by any radiation and are safe to buy and consume.
